Understanding our transparent and inclusive evaluation process
The Taji Awards employs a transparent, inclusive, and credible evaluation process that combines expert assessment with public participation, ensuring that every award reflects both professional excellence and community impact.
All nominees are evaluated using a structured framework based on the following key pillars:
Demonstrated positive and measurable contribution to society, industry, or community.
Originality, creativity, and forward-thinking approaches that drive meaningful change.
Vision, influence, integrity, accountability, and the ability to inspire others.
Long-term value, responsible practices, and enduring relevance.
Significance and influence within the sector, region, or nationally.
Alignment with Kenyan values, identity, and community needs.
Criteria weighting may vary slightly depending on category or regional context.
Nominations are open to the public, institutions, industry bodies, and stakeholders through the official Taji Awards submission platform.
All submissions undergo a verification process to confirm eligibility, accuracy, and authenticity.
A diverse and independent panel of judges—comprising industry experts, creatives, professionals, and thought leaders—evaluates all eligible nominations based on the published awards criteria.
Nominees with the highest judges' scores are shortlisted per category and regional chapter.
Shortlisted nominees are opened to public voting, enabling communities and audiences to actively participate in the recognition process.
